Multi-Day Intensive Therapy Retreats
Transform Your Life in Days, Not Years
At Soul & Psyche, we offer revolutionary multi-day intensive therapy retreats that create profound breakthroughs in a fraction of the time required by traditional weekly sessions. Our intensive programs go beyond symptom management to address the deeper roots of human suffering, helping you achieve lasting transformation through concentrated therapeutic engagement throughout California.
The foundation of our work is captured in our 23-year partnership that has weathered seasons of growth, held space for each other's evolution, and deepened our capacity to hold space for others. This unique foundation allows us to create intensive retreats that honor both the individual journey and the power of authentic therapeutic connection.
Why Choose Intensive Therapy Retreats?
Traditional therapy often requires months or years to achieve meaningful change. Our intensive retreat approach accelerates healing by creating immersive therapeutic experiences where you can process complex trauma, release emotional pain, and reclaim your authentic self in just a few days. This concentrated format allows for continuous therapeutic engagement without daily life interruptions, enabling breakthroughs that might otherwise take years to accomplish.
Our program primarily serves individuals throughout California who are ready to move beyond coping strategies and experience genuine transformation. We also welcome English-speaking expatriates living in the European Union who seek our specialized intensive approach. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, or spiritual abuse, our intensive approach offers hope for lasting change and renewed connection with your True Self.
Our Unique Approach: Beyond Traditional Therapy
At the heart of our psychology practice is a commitment to offering transformative psychological treatments that go beyond symptom management to address the deeper roots of human suffering. Rather than simply alleviating surface-level expressions such as depression and anxiety, our practice seeks to uncover and heal the underlying wounds and unmet needs that give rise to these symptoms.
Central to our approach is guiding clients on a journey of self-discovery, helping them fulfill the fundamental human need to realize their True Self. This includes supporting clients who are ready to know and integrate their often unacknowledged shadow aspects of the ego – the parts that cling to control and resist vulnerability. By fostering deep inner work and authentic connection to the self, our practice empowers lasting change, greater freedom, and a more meaningful, conscious life.
Our emphasis on personalized care ensures that no two retreat experiences are identical. We recognize that each individual's path to healing is unique, and we honor that by creating customized therapeutic journeys that address your specific needs, history, and goals while respecting the deeply personal nature of your transformation.

Comprehensive Therapeutic Modalities
Multi-Day Intensive Therapy Retreats
Our signature intensive programs create immersive healing environments where participants engage in deep therapeutic work over consecutive days. Each retreat facilitates profound emotional breakthroughs through sustained therapeutic engagement, allowing you to work through complex emotional patterns more efficiently than traditional weekly sessions.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR offers powerful healing for individuals carrying traumatic memories. This evidence-based method helps process distressing experiences through specific eye movements while focusing on traumatic content, facilitating the brain's natural healing processes. Within our intensive retreat setting, clients can work through multiple traumatic memories in concentrated timeframes, often achieving significant relief from trauma-related symptoms in days rather than weeks.
Ego State Therapy and IFS Theory
Ego State Therapy and IFS theory recognize the complex inner world within each person, acknowledging that we all contain various internal parts – protective, vulnerable, and wise aspects of self. These approaches help you understand how different parts of your psyche developed as protective mechanisms and how they can be integrated in healthier ways through therapeutic exploration of ego states and internal family dynamics.
Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT)
ImTT offers a gentle yet powerful approach to releasing emotional pain trapped within body and mind. This innovative method employs guided imagery techniques allowing you to visualize and release emotional pain without re-experiencing traumatic memories in full intensity, providing safe pathways for accessing deeper healing layers.
Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST)
TIST focuses on stabilization and integration before, during, and after trauma processing. This advanced approach ensures that intensive trauma work proceeds safely and effectively, providing tools for managing overwhelming emotions and maintaining stability throughout the healing process.
Addressing Core Emotional and Psychological Challenges
Anxiety Transformation
Our intensive approach allows comprehensive anxiety treatment addressing root causes rather than just symptom management. Through our therapeutic modalities, you can process traumatic memories contributing to anxiety, work with protective parts through Ego State Therapy and IFS theory, release trapped emotional energy through ImTT, and develop stabilization skills through TIST.
Depression Recovery
Depression frequently masks deeper wounds and unmet emotional needs that require comprehensive attention to heal effectively. Through intensive therapeutic work, you can process grief, trauma, and emotional pain contributing to depression, often experiencing breakthroughs that restore hope and connection to life purpose.
Post-Traumatic Stress Healing
Our comprehensive approach to trauma treatment combines EMDR for memory processing, Ego State Therapy and IFS theory for parts integration, ImTT for somatic release, and TIST for stabilization and safety. This multi-modal approach addresses trauma from multiple angles simultaneously, often leading to profound breakthroughs and lasting relief from trauma-related symptoms.
Spiritual Abuse Recovery
Spiritual abuse represents a particularly complex form of trauma requiring specialized understanding and treatment approaches. Our intensive retreat format provides focused attention necessary for addressing damaged trust, spiritual bypassing, and complex religious trauma responses while supporting your journey toward authentic spiritual renewal.
Trauma-Focused Healing for Those in Sustained Recovery
For individuals who have achieved sustained sobriety (12+ months or more) and are ready to address deeper emotional wounds that may have contributed to past substance use, our trauma-focused intensive retreats offer profound healing opportunities. Our approach focuses specifically on trauma healing rather than addiction treatment, making it appropriate for those who have established stability in their recovery and are prepared to engage in deep psychological work.
Healing Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and Hypervigilance
Our intensive retreats prove particularly effective for individuals struggling with burnout, compassion fatigue, and hypervigilance – conditions often rooted in chronic stress, unresolved trauma, and prolonged exposure to others' pain. Through our comprehensive therapeutic approach, participants can address underlying nervous system dysregulation while developing sustainable strategies for emotional regulation.
Addressing Loneliness and Social Isolation
Loneliness and social isolation often stem from deep wounds related to attachment trauma, shame, and fear of vulnerability. Our intensive retreat approach creates opportunities to explore these patterns in a safe, supportive community environment while addressing the underlying trauma that contributes to social withdrawal and emotional isolation.

Your Personalized Retreat Experience
Consultation and Assessment Process
Your journey begins with our comprehensive consultation process. Clients can easily book a consultation call to speak with our intake coordinator, who will answer your questions and guide you to who is most appropriate for your needs. You'll then speak with one of us to see if an hourly format or a retreat is a good fit for your needs and schedule a time to move forward.
Day One: Foundation Building and Safety
The first day focuses on establishing a trusting relationship, sharing information about your life experience and goals for the retreat, and developing a sense of safety so that you will be ready to move forward. The schedule eases you gradually into the intensive program while beginning the deeper therapeutic work.
Intensive Processing Days
The afternoon of your first day and following days focus on using the most effective trauma processing modalities to clear traumatic memories and help you move forward in your life. You'll engage in extended therapeutic sessions using our comprehensive range of modalities based on your individual needs and therapeutic goals.
Integration and Aftercare Planning
Your retreat ends with integration to ensure that you can take your newfound ease and insights and bring them into your daily life. We work together to identify specific strategies supporting continued healing and discuss follow-up support options to maintain healing momentum beyond the program dates.
